HAPPY BABIES IN THEIR FOREVER HOMES
CHLOE AND GIZMO
My husband and I lost our wonderful 16 year old kitty in Nov. 2017, and were interested in adopting a ragdoll kitten. When we talked to Edie, she let us know that Ragdolls really did better with a buddy, and she suggested adopting a rescue kitten. What a wonderful blessing that has been. We adopted Chloe through AARF in the latter part of November and then we got Gizmo, our ragdoll boy, in January. They are about 6 weeks apart in age and the best of friends as you can see in the pictures. They are inseparable and so much fun to watch, who needs cable when you have kitty tv.... Edie has been wonderful to work with and really knows and cares about her animals, she is truly a cat whisperer.

When the Unavoidable Happens
I wanted to take a moment to speak of my recent experience with Edie and her Ragdolls. We decided to get two kittens earlier this year. We met with Edie and picked out a brother and sister and began preparing for their arrival. From the moment we got them home they quickly began to exhibit the many wonderful traits associated with this unique breed. They were playful, loving and quickly adapted to their new home. After about a week my wife, Kathy, began having some mild allergic reactions which got worse with each passing day. She became very sick and the doctor suggested removing the kittens. We were devastated! Heartbroken, I called Edie who quickly suggested bringing the kittens back. She began making calls and soon had the kittens a new, wonderful home - together! We were very sad but the fact that they were going to their new home together made it bearable. Edie is a proud, knowledgeable breeder with amazing babies. With weekly allergy shots we hope to be able to start the process over again. Thank you so much Edie. We loved your babies. They were just precious.
Sincerely,
C and Kathy

AMOS AND OZZIE
Hi Edie,
I just had to write and tell you again, how very much we are loving these two kittens! Amos and Ozzie are simply the two most amazing cats we have ever known. As you probably remember, we have had the opportunity to know a lot of cats over the decades of owning our veterinary clinic and we just never imagined having 2 kittens with such wonderful, calm, steady, LOVING personalities as these boys have.
I'm not sure you know just how many breeders I contacted before finding you. Luckily, I had learned many lessons about doing the work of breeder research before buying. The vet clinic provided many sad experiences with very unhealthy kittens and puppies from backyard breeders. The various medical and psychological problems we've seen make me so glad that I found you!
Your incredible devotion to the quality of your breeding program is first class. The excellent health and testing of the parents and the lines you breed, your commitment to the Ragdoll breed standard, and the wonderful work you do with handling/socializing these kittens is just amazing. I hope you know just how exceptional you are.
Everyone who meets Ozzie and Amos are just blown away by their beauty, their vitality, their wonderful fun-loving personalities, their lovability, their intense desire to be with people, and, most especially, their gentle floppy nature.
Thanks for being the BEST breeder you can possibly be!
Trish Koontz
P. S. Here are The two boys on the deck today in the bright sunshine. They have just turned six months old. Don't worry, they cannot get off the deck and I am out there with them every minute! I honor the contract 100% and would never let them be loose out in the yard. They are much too precious to us to ever risk it. Don't you love how handsome they are?!

PEARL
Every day I look into the breathtaking eyes of my beautiful Ragdoll, Pearl, and think about how lucky I am to have met Edie and through her, adopted Pearl. There is nothing like being owned by a Ragdoll. Pearl exemplifies everything you read about the Ragdoll breed. She is gentle, loving and loyal. She “flops” on you and cuddles to you when you hold her, much like a human baby. When I return home from work each day, I look forward to seeing Pearl's pretty face looking through the cat door waiting for me. Yes, Ragdolls DO wait for you at the door to come home. They come running when you call their name and follow you from room to room, they will even wait for you while you take a shower! Pearl has purred her way into the hearts of my husband and two teenage sons, as well as our cat Terra, who although still very independent, will now allow Pearl to cuddle with her during their shared "Cat-Nap Time". Although Terra was our first baby, and as such enjoyed the spotlight, even she could not resist Pearl, who laid on her back for Terra to play with her every time she walked by. Being a first time Ragdoll owner, I have enjoyed the many talks I have had with Edie and the experienced advice she has given me. Edie has been there for me every step of the way, from the first visit trying to decide to become a Ragdoll owner to today, long after I brought Pearl home. Edie is always a call or e-mail away whenever I have a question or just want to share “baby pictures”. Edie is the quintessential “cat whisperer”. From maintaining the integrity of the Ragdoll breed, to sharing her own precious Ragdolls through her breeding program, to the beautiful angels she raises, it is heartwarming to witness her love and devotion. Edie is not only the first mom of my precious Pearl, she has also become a friend. It has been a wonderful experience getting to know Edie and fall in love with Ragdolls. I hope to never be without a Ragdoll baby (or two) in my life again. Pearl is a true blessing and simply put, being with her just makes your heart smile! Thank you Edie for all you do, from the bottom of my heart. AMY |

Pixie
I think of writing you every day. Joe and I cannot get over the personality of this kitty. I know that it's alot like the profile of Ragdolls but each cat is unique too...and this one is TOO MUCH. She is the funniest, silliest, most beautiful, most playful, smartest kitty we've ever seen. She is obvious with her ability to reason and figure things out. She surprises us everyday with her understanding of how things work. She comes tearing from all parts every time we open the front door. She runs for the refrigerator when she hears the ice dispenser and wants cubes to float in her water bowl. Then she batts them around splashing water everywhere but we don't care. Did you teach her to lift the covers and slide underneath to tickle and attack toes? She hides and waits for poor Shadow to come trotting down the hall unsuspecting and leaps out. He was grumpy at first about this new kitty but her personality eventually wore him down. There was no way to not fall in love with her. She has brought a new life to him. They roll, tumble and race, and I mean race, through the house together. I'm really glad I don't have any curtains She would sit and look up at the walls looking for something to climb. We got in gear and bought a cat tree house and stairs. The stairs attach to a door with four levels large enough to sleep on. It's great for the back door that is half window. They love it. The tree is next to my computer cabinet and it took her one day before she was looking down at me from the top. We put cushions up there and it is a favorite sleeping spot with a view over the TV and computer room. She does seek more human contact than our Maine Coon and joins us on the sofa at night. She brings a favorite mouse to us to fetch and finds it no matter how bad our toss is. Joe is ridiculously in love with her and has to make himself not co-opt my ...MY...kitty. His is the Maine Coon who by the way is also sweet and gorgeous. But two Ragdolls has to be a real experience. We would get another one if we only had one cat. Joe keeps congratulating me on finding you and Miss Pixie. __________________________________________________________________________________________________

SEAL
Paul and I are very pleased with our cat (Seal). Your updates and tips for caring for him were priceless. Your love for these animals shows with all you do. We visited many times before I received Seal; and all visits were welcoming, we were always invited to stay as long as we wanted so we could bond. Edie is a wonderful breeder and loves what she is doing. If we were to purchase again it would be through Edie. Sincerely, Paul and Lynn Suits Greensboro, NC |

SAGE
This is our dear Sage sitting in his place on our breezeway. There's a birdnest right behind him outside the screen and he loves to sit and watch the birds. Our lives are so much richer from having him with us. He's such a joy! So loving and playful. Thank you Edie for giving us such a wonderful kitten. Thanks also for letting us share our lives with Ms. Abby and giving her the retirement she so richly deserves. |
